Is it true that Azerbaijan forces ICRC to carry out its activities in Artsakh with visas obtained through Baku? ICRC commentary

The International Committee of the Red Cross has a physical presence in the region, in Yerevan, Baku, and Stepanakert, which allows it to implement its neutral position regarding humanitarian operations, both in the case of the situation in the Lachin Corridor and as well as in maintaining contact with the families of detained Armenians.

Zara Amatuni, head of communication and prevention programs of the ICRC Armenian office, said this in a conversation with Radar Armenia to our question: are the rumors true that Azerbaijan is trying to force the ICRC to carry out its activities in Artsakh with visas obtained through Baku?

"Coordinating the work under its physical presence allows it to do all this as a humanitarian mediator," said Amatuni.
