"Our role is to raise issues thanks to parliamentary diplomacy, to try to increase the pressure on Azerbaijan;" Khandanyan

Sargis Khandanyan, the chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, stated that the humanitarian situation in Nagorno Karabakh is becoming more dire daily.

He said they talk about this in all their parliamentary contacts, "I was in France recently, and we discussed this issue in great detail with our French colleagues. I think our international partners need clear actions, and they have this perception. Our position regarding protecting the rights and security of Nagorno-Karabakh residents is unchanged. There should be a dialogue between the representatives of Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, Stepanakert, and Baku, the issue of rights and security should be discussed, and it will have international visibility."

According to Khandanyan, the tripartite statement of November 9 must be respected. The February decision of the International Court of Justice was added to it, reaffirmed by a new decision recently, "Our role is to raise these issues thanks to diplomacy, including parliamentary diplomacy, to try to increase the pressure on Azerbaijan and reach decisions on several issues."
