On June 30, RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Kumar Ayir, Director General of Economics, Science, and Technology of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Development of the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, valuing the constructive dialogue between the two countries and further developing relations in areas of mutual interest. Taking practical steps towards starting the RA-UK strategic dialogue announced in May was emphasized on both sides. Referring to the need to activate economic ties, the parties expressed their readiness to take active steps toward their expansion.
The parties also referred to cooperation within international organizations. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of the United Kingdom's continued support for Armenia's democratic reforms.
Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented to the interlocutor the regional security situation and RA's efforts to establish peace.
