The spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry elaborated on what key issues require further work from the ministers

Ani Badalyan, the spokesperson of the RA Foreign Ministry, detailed that as a result of the next round of negotiations in Washington, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan did not reach an agreement on which key issues, according to which there is still a need for further discussion.

"The positions of Armenia and Azerbaijan on several key issues require further work. It refers to the border demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the withdrawal of troops, and the creation of an international mechanism for the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue," she said.

It should be noted that yesterday, the RA Foreign Ministry announced that the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan and their teams continued progress on the draft of the bilateral agreement "On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations." They agreed on several more articles of the draft agreement and recorded progress in mutual understanding while noting that positions on several key issues require further work.
