Alen Simonyan detailed why the world was silent during Azerbaijan's military operations

In response to the non-implementation of the decision of the International Court of Justice, does Armenia have other steps to solve the problem of the people living there? NA Speaker Alen Simonyan said, "We are taking alternative steps. It's not like we are waiting for the execution of the international court's decision."

According to him, the court's decision is one of the steps that had a deterrent role. "When Azerbaijan was talking about the four UN resolutions regarding Artsakh, they said these resolutions do not affect the land. However, years later, Azerbaijan started military operations, and the international community, putting those resolutions into action, remained silent. Our people also felt abandoned; they asked, how is the world silent? Yes, based on those international resolutions."

Alen Simonyan added that Armenia is not preparing for war in any way, "We are not going to launch military operations. With all possible international mechanisms, we should achieve the conclusion of a long-term, reliable, internationally authoritative agreement with Azerbaijan under the format of any country, structure, and ensure the realization of the rights and freedoms of the Armenian people living in Nagorno-Karabakh."
