The trade turnover between Armenia and the UAE has registered a record figure in the last two years; Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, on the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. The message says:

"Your Highness,

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates.

Friendly ties between the Armenian and Arab peoples have a history that goes back centuries, and today we are also proud to witness and participate in such a phase of dynamic development of interstate relations, in which progressive perspectives are evident.

We can report with satisfaction that the joint commission for trade, economic and technical cooperation between our governments was established in 2019 and is effectively functioning, and the trade turnover between our countries has registered a record figure in the last two years.

Today, the United Arab Emirates is one of Armenia's essential partners in implementing mutually beneficial projects of regional importance, revitalizing the business atmosphere, and deepening inter-civilizational dialogue.

With joint efforts in the coming years, we can saturate the Armenian-Emirati bilateral cooperation agenda with new initiatives and programs to benefit our states and friendly peoples.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I reaffirm my commitment to make personal efforts to strengthen and deepen cooperation between our countries based on respect and mutual trust."
