President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the "For Freedom" Foundation named after Friedrich Nauman in Berlin.

While welcoming the foundation's president, Heinz Paqué thanked the president for a visit and emphasized that the foundation has implemented many vital projects in Armenia for many years.

The President of the Republic thanked for the warm reception and, in his speech, referred to the long-term activities of the foundation, highlighting its role in the spread of democracy and democratic ideas in Armenia and, in general, in the South Caucasus.

During the conversation, general regional realities, reforms implemented in establishing democratic institutions in Armenia, and ways to overcome existing problems were discussed. The president also emphasized that stable peace is one of the essential prerequisites for forming and strengthening democratic systems, which is ultimately one of the goals of the foundation's activities.

In his speech, President Vahagn Khachaturyan noted that he and many young figures of the current Armenian political field closely cooperated with the foundation, which positively affected the spread of liberal ideas.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized that within the framework of his authority, he willingly supports the initiatives contributing to the establishment and development of democratic institutions in Armenia.

The President also expressed hope that the Nauman Foundation will activate its traditional activities in the South Caucasus region shortly, which is an additional stimulus for the strengthening of democracy and democratic institutions and the establishment of peace.
