In a briefing with journalists, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan referred to the systematic violations of the ceasefire regime on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, "The actions taken by the leadership of Azerbaijan, in particular, the tension both on the border of Armenia and the tension of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, definitely do not contribute to building peace in the region and cast doubt on Azerbaijan's statements that they are interested in establishing stability and peace." ,- he said.
He also referred to the unblocking of transport routes in the region, particularly the statements of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk. Kostanyan assured that it is essential for Armenia to fix the principles that lifting the embargo should take place based on the jurisdiction and sovereignty of the parties, "If until today we have not managed to establish that the lifting of the blockade will take place within the limits of sovereignty and jurisdiction. Naturally, the destructive side is Azerbaijan."
The Deputy Minister also emphasized that since January 2021, Armenia has always been constructive and interested in implementing the blockade process, "We are interested in unblocking regional infrastructure and transportation routes because we believe that the Armenian Crossroads project has great potential, considering the geopolitical developments and logistical problems that the world is facing today."
