"The Russian source wrote something to provoke some circles in Armenia;" Stepan Safaryan
The Telegram channel of the Russian "RIA News" news service wrote that "the USA is forcing Nagorno-Karabakh to meet with Azerbaijan, threatening with anti-terrorist action in case of refusal."
In a conversation with Radar Armenia, political scientist Styopa Safaryan, commenting on that publication, noted that the problem of the USA is not with Karabakh but with Azerbaijan.
"The Russian source wrote something that would provoke some circles in Armenia. Of course, the USA expects and has set a task to start the Stepanakert-Baku dialogue, but Azerbaijan avoids it. We understand that "RIA News" is under the influence of Azerbaijani lobbying, but that's not all. Since Russia is against Western mediations, it is trying to write such distorted things that the Armenian side will refuse," Styopa Safaryan said.
