Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan did not comment on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statements that "the problem of the Zangezur Corridor does not come from Armenia, but from Iran."
The minister spoke about unblocking regional infrastructures, stressing that this is an excellent opportunity to reaffirm Armenia's position again, "The Republic of Armenia is greatly interested in unblocking transport and economic infrastructures in the region. These infrastructures should be unblocked based on a few well-known principles: for example, they should operate under the sovereignty of the countries through whose territory they pass, these infrastructures should be under the jurisdiction of the countries whose territory they pass through, and these infrastructures should be opened based on the principle of equality and reciprocity," he said.
According to Mirzoyan, intense meetings are taking place with Prime Minister Pashinyan and Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan; these issues are being discussed, "There is some progress, especially within the framework of Mr. Grigoryan's last meetings. But we don't have the final result yet; so far, we can't publicize the reason for their absence."
