Sargis Khandanyan, the NA Foreign Relations Committee chairman, announced that the topic of the "Zangezur Corridor" is closed for Armenia.
"This is obvious, acceptable, and understandable for the parties who mediate in the negotiations. So, as described by Azerbaijan, to have a sovereign corridor through the territory of Armenia, there is no such topic and cannot be; it is extremely unacceptable for Armenia, and Armenia will never negotiate on this," he said in a briefing with journalists at the National Assembly.
According to Khandanyan, if Azerbaijan uses the same logic when expressing the phrase "Zangezuri Corridor" as before, it is a territorial claim against Armenia, "Unfortunately, the President of Azerbaijan has not yet spoken to the extent that the Prime Minister of Armenia has spoken about mutually recognizing territorial integrity; it is about marking the surface."
