NA Speaker Alen Simonyan announced that the Armenian authorities are ready to regulate Armenian-Turkish relations. According to him, the rules are prepared for this, even to go through significant criticism, if there is a will on the part of Turkey to regulate these relations.
"The Turkish side, if it desires, can always give reasons. It may not be the statue of "Nemesis"; it may be something else. I consider the installation of the statue of "Nemesis" wrong because it is not and cannot be a line of state policy, but I say again that it was just an opportunity for Turkey. I stated that I could find 1 million reasons not to go to Turkey. If there is the will on the part of Turkey, and I have the impression that there is, then there is a historic and unique opportunity to regulate relations; we are ready for it, and we are even ready to go through great criticisms but bring lasting peace to the Armenian people," he said.
According to Alen Simonyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Turkey to participate in Erdogan's inauguration went quite well, and the Prime Minister was at the center of attention. "We can say that the visit was one of the main events."
