The US State Department expressed its satisfaction with the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations

The US State Department confirmed the Yerevan-Baku dialogue to be held in Washington in June and expressed its satisfaction with the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations. "Voice of America" informs about this.

"The United States expresses its satisfaction with the ongoing negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in various places, including the recent meeting of (the two countries') leaders in Chisinau," a representative of the US State Department told the Armenian service of "Voice of America," which did not want to be published—his name.

The official added: "We expect to host another round of negotiations in Washington later this month as the parties continue to pursue a peaceful future in the South Caucasus region. Direct dialogue is the key to solving problems, achieving a lasting and dignified peace."

It should be remembered that earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reported that Armenia and Azerbaijan would continue negotiations on establishing relations and a peace treaty at the level of foreign ministers on June 12 in Washington, the capital of the United States.
