The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received the President of the Freedom House organization, Michael Abramowitz. During the meeting, the reforms carried out to establish democracy and democratic institutions in Armenia were discussed.
During the conversation, the ways of overcoming the factors hindering the establishment of democracy in the presence of regional realities and problems were discussed.
Both sides emphasized the need for stability and peace in Armenia and the South Caucasus region for democratic development. Thoughts were exchanged regarding the initiatives and general approaches of the Armenian government in the direction of the development of state and democratic institutions in recent years.
