Vladimir Vardanyan, deputy of the KP faction of the National Assembly, stated that the Lachin Corridor and the issue of opening communications in the region are different. In a briefing with journalists, he said that the problem of the Lachin Corridor was fixed in a separate clause in the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020, "Everyone agrees on the general ideas. But due to the discussion of the details, many technical problems may appear, which will need a different solution. There can be different types of problems, for example, logistics, repair of this or that route, etc."
When asked why there was no announcement about the results of the tripartite meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Moscow, Vladimir Vardanyan answered: "Diplomacy is much more flexible and does not have certain logical and clear patterns, which as a result of any meeting there must be an announcement."
