The RA MFA proposes to include in the concept of "high-ranking delegations" the delegations led by the deputy prime ministers of foreign countries arriving in the Republic of Armenia at the invitation of the RA deputy prime ministers.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan, while presenting the draft amendments to the law "On State Protocol," said that the need for it arose in many countries, including Armenia, because the deputy prime ministers have a greater functional and procedural role and organize visits at a proper level and promptly, "It is established that the financing of the expenses related to the visits of high-ranking delegations to RA is carried out based on the report submitted by the state protocol service, by the documents justifying the actual expenses, by the decision of the Prime Minister. The term "other international organizations" was added to the draft to regulate the issue related to the delegations from the European Union because before the law, only "international organizations" were written, and the EU is not such," he said.
