RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan presented details of the Washington negotiations.
According to him, some progress was made in the negotiations in Washington because it was possible to agree on two more articles of the draft peace treaty. Still, it was possible to have a direct, extended, sincere conversation about several other reports.
"During these conversations, the parties understand each other's concerns, intentions, and ideas well. Apart from the two articles I mentioned, there is also a possibility of agreement regarding the different articles. This is not only my assessment; other parties also assured me.
Of course, there are articles and topics where the parties' positions are quite far from each other. These are the articles that deal with the most challenging issues. But there was also an efficient discussion in this direction," Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with the Minister of European Affairs of the United Kingdom, Leo Docherty.
