Nikol Pashinyan on the possibility of signing a peace treaty

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the possibility of signing a peace treaty during the upcoming meetings with the President of Azerbaijan.

According to him, signing a contract in Moscow on Thursday is unrealistic: "If we manage to come to a common denominator regarding the opening of communications, I cannot rule it out."

He emphasized that they must finish the negotiations and sign the peace agreement as soon as possible. According to Pashinyan, Armenia awaits Azerbaijan's response to the peace agreement, "If they send their feedback this week if a few days or a week is enough to analyze if we consider the proposals and approaches acceptable in the compromise logic, why not?" But we haven't received their responses yet."

He spoke about international guarantees, stressing that being a guarantor in such a complex region is a great responsibility, "In this respect, it is not the case that everyone is enthusiastic and, without giving each other a turn, wants to take on that role."

According to him, if the international community registers a sincere desire to establish lasting peace between the parties, countries, and organizations will agree to undertake this function.
