"The military-political situation in our region continues to be tense," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced at today's press conference. According to him, the government considers promoting the peace agenda the primary method to overcome the tension, "Intensive negotiations are underway on the peace and relations establishment agreement with Azerbaijan, and we hope to reach an agreement on the text as soon as possible and sign it," said the Prime Minister.
According to him, the perception of the international community is more inclined to the resolution that Armenia and Azerbaijan should recognize each other's territorial integrity of 29,800 km² and 86,600 km² without reservations, and dialogue should take place between Baku and Stepanakert regarding the rights and security of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians, "We agree with this logic and conduct the negotiations with this logic, emphasizing that the international mechanisms for guaranteeing the Stepanakert-Baku dialogue are fundamental."
According to him, the strategic guarantee of Armenia's security is peace, which is possible by regulating relations with all neighbors, "This is not an easy process, but I think it is what our people want and expect."
