At the Mirzoyan-Lavrov meeting, special attention was paid to countering the spread of false information; RA MFA
On May 18, Armenian-Russian interdepartmental consultations were held in Moscow within the framework of the meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on information support for foreign political activities and media relations.
The Armenian side was represented by RA MFA press spokesperson Ani Badalyan, head of the media and public diplomacy department Inna Torgomyan, and the Russian side was represented by the official representative of the Russian MFA, Maria Zakharova, director of the information and press department.
There was a thorough exchange of ideas on a wide range of issues of bilateral interaction in the information domain. Special attention was paid to the problem of countering the spread of false information. Mutual interest was expressed in the further expansion of contacts and exchanges between the mass media of the two countries.
