We cannot agree with the statement, which is vulnerable on a number of points from the point of view of international law; ANC

The Armenian National Congress Party issued a statement commenting on why several political forces in Armenia and Artsakh do not join today's news, calling it vulnerable from the point of view of international law.

"The Armenian National Congress Party has received a request from some media regarding joining the "joint statement of the political forces of the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh" published today, May 18. In this regard, we'd like to announce the following.

Strongly condemning the Karabakh policy conducted by the Armenian authorities and expressing our solidarity with the brave struggle of the people of Artsakh, we expect the international community to take into account their just demands in peace negotiations, as well as as soon as possible.

- to solve the humanitarian problems of the population of Karabakh,

- ensure the return of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan and

- to guarantee the uninterrupted and safe operation of the Lachin Corridor.

At the same time, we inform you that the Armenian National Congress cannot join the "joint statement of the political forces of the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh," which is vulnerable in several points from the point of view of international law.
