The agreement on visa-free travel for citizens of Armenia and Georgia has not yet entered into force

"The agreement between Armenia and Georgia on reciprocal visa-free travel for the citizens of both states is undergoing domestic procedures for entry into force by the RA Law on International Agreements," the RA Foreign Ministry said in response to Radar Armenia's inquiry.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was submitted by the government to the Constitutional Court to determine the compliance of the obligations stipulated in the international agreement with the constitution.

"After the entry into force of the agreement, citizens of the two states can visit Armenia and Georgia with identification cards, respectively, within any one hundred and eighty (180) days following the date of crossing the border of the receiving state, for a period not exceeding 90 (ninety) days," the Foreign Ministry said, adding, that the agreement has not yet entered into force; "After entering into force, the agreement will be published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by the procedure established by Article 23 of the RA Law on International Agreements."
