The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan are ready for long-term peace in the region. This was announced by the head of the EU, Charles Michel, at the press conference held after the tripartite negotiations in Brussels.
Michel also announced that the next meeting with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia is scheduled for July in Brussels.
"The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan confirmed the recognition of mutual territorial integrity based on the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration. In the case of Armenia, 29,800 square kilometers, and the case of Azerbaijan, 89,600 square kilometers," the Head of the Council of Europe stated, adding that the European Union is committed to helping Yerevan and Baku achieve a comprehensive normalization of relations, and Brussels will continue to contribute to their joint efforts.
