"The final agreement will be historic;" Blinken summarized the results of negotiations with Mirzoyan-Bayramov

The four-day negotiations between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia have ended in Washington.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, summarizing the results of the negotiations, noted that the parties have discussed complex issues in recent days and made material progress regarding the peace treaty.

"The final agreement will be historic and in the interests of Armenia and Azerbaijan," stated the US Secretary of State.

He also noted that the pace of negotiations and the basis built by the parties show that they are approaching an agreement.

"The last mile of a marathon is always the hardest, but the United States is here to help our friends reach the finish line.

My friends' will, the Armenia and Azerbaijan ministers, is encouraging. This is a difficult task, but there is commitment and determination to overcome many complex challenges, and we are close to a final agreement," Blinken emphasized.
