"Armenia is not going to get involved in the discussion on the new regulation regarding the regime of the Lachine Corridor," minister

"Armenia has never prepared and is not going to be involved in the negotiations on a new settlement regarding the regime of the Lachin Corridor," stated Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

Referring to the claims of the Azerbaijani side that Armenia has refused the offer of parallel control in the Lachin Corridor, the minister said that Armenia's position is that all the agreements reached should be settled uninterruptedly and consistently so that it is possible to make more significant achievements in the process of universal regulation of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. "What Azerbaijan has done and is doing in Lachin is illegal, and the interim judgment of the International Court of Justice also confirms this."

According to Mirzoyan, issues related to the rights and security of the NK people can be discussed in the internationally visible Stepanakert-Baku mechanism, "There have been public demands or proposals (it is difficult to make a distinction) from the Azerbaijani side regarding the border posts in the Lachin Corridor, but I repeat what I said: we are not going to get involved in the discussion of these proposals."
