Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the need for a clear response and effective steps by RA's allies and partners

On April 25, RA and RF MFAs held consultations on developing bilateral relations and ensuring regional security at the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Armenian delegation was headed by RA Deputy Foreign Ministers Mnatsakan Safaryan and Vahe Gevorgyan; Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin led the Russian delegation.

Within the framework of the consultations, the parties discussed several issues of the Armenian-Russian bilateral agenda. In particular, in an atmosphere of trust, there was an exchange of ideas on the further promotion of cooperation in foreign political departments, the development of trade and economic interaction between Armenia and Russia, the prospects of promoting Armenian-Russian humanitarian ties, as well as the issues of ensuring security in the South Caucasus.

The parties emphasized the importance and willingness to continue discussing critical issues of mutual interest in international relations.

At the end of the consultations, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin. In the context of the dangerous situation emerging in the region as a result of the provocative statements and aggressive actions of the official Baku, including the steps taken to install a checkpoint in the corridor in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping troops, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the need for a clear response and practical steps by Armenia's allies and partners in the direction of the restoration of the Lachin Corridor regime by the provisions of the tripartite declaration of November 9.
