I do not have the right to call what is happening in Artsakh a genocide at the moment, US Ambassador

At the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, US Ambassador Kristina Kvien answered journalists' questions. In response to whether recent steps taken by Azerbaijan against the people of Armenia and Artsakh cannot be defined as genocide, the US ambassador said that she does not have the right to qualify what is happening in Artsakh as genocide.

In response to another question from journalists, whether the USA does not want to impose any sanctions on Azerbaijan because the latter does not fulfill the decision of the UN Court of Justice to unblock the Lachin Corridor, Kristina Kvien stated: "At the moment, there are no sanctions applied by the USA against Azerbaijan, but I cannot comment on what we will do in the future."
