RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to deploying CSTO peacekeepers on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
Pashinyan said that not only Russia but also Armenia is ready for CSTO observers to be stationed here, "We have drawn the line of our concerns, and essentially our concern or desire, the drive is to make the possible mission effective. This is important for Armenia, CSTO, and the region. And we continue the discussions in that direction," said the RA Prime Minister.
Comparing the CSTO and the EU, the Prime Minister noted that the mission of the EU must be put on a different level than the CSTO, "Let's distinguish between the CSTO and the European Union. The CSTO has security obligations towards Armenia, and Armenia also has obligations, which it fulfilled during the events in Kazakhstan in 2022. Therefore, RA's expectations from the CSTO should be much higher than from the EU."
