Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the CP faction of the National Assembly, referring to Azerbaijan's aggression near the village of Tegh, noted that the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia fulfilled the task set before them and stopped the enemy's provocations, "The instructions of the Armenian Prime Minister cannot be unfulfilled; there may just be shortcomings. And we are looking for them to be revealed and the guilty to be punished," Kocharyan said, adding that instructions could not have been given. They were delivered before the enemy advanced.
Referring to the closed meeting held the previous day in the National Assembly with the participation of the head of the Armed Forces, the chief of the General Staff; the deputy said that the discussion was aimed at excluding such situations, not at finding the guilty, "Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia retaliated. If the Armed Forces had not had such an attitude, the Azerbaijani forces would have penetrated deeper and deployed there. In the future, we should proceed from the fact that the capabilities, strength, and content of the Armed Forces should be at the level that solves the problem before it. What is ours is ours; if the enemy encroaches beyond that, he should know he will be hit. And whether or not there is a recommendation from the authorities does not matter; the Armed Forces must implement the task set before it even without a recommendation," Kocharyan stressed.
