"Azerbaijan does not fulfill its internationally accepted obligation," Nikol Pashinyan on the issue of prisoners

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the issue of prisoners held in Azerbaijan, noted that this issue is at the center of the attention of state bodies. It should be noted that the parents of the captives blocked the Gyumri-Bavra road yesterday, demanding a solution to the problem.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, this problem should not have existed. This issue is addressed in the tripartite statement, "Baku is trying to present at all instances as if the citizens in Azerbaijan are not prisoners of war, but this is not a matter of interpretation at all because the corresponding point of the tripartite statement talks not only about prisoners of war but also about hostages and other detained persons. This is the case when Azerbaijan does not fulfill its international commitments very directly," said Pashinyan, noting that consistent efforts should be continued on the parliamentary and governmental platforms to solve the problem before the minute.
