On April 12, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan spoke with US acting Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Derek Hogan. The interlocutors touched on regional security issues.
Minister Mirzoyan presented the details of the provocation carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces yesterday in the Tegh village of the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia, noting that it was another manifestation of the general aggressive policy of Azerbaijan and aimed to disrupt the efforts to continue the peace negotiations.
Thoughts were exchanged on the humanitarian crisis created in Nagorno-Karabakh and the issues of the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the peace process and presented the approaches of the Armenian side to the settlement issue of existing problems.
