Armenia will receive a loan of 92.3 million euros under the new agreement
A "Green, Resilient, and Inclusive Development Policy Loan" agreement worth EUR 92,300,000 was signed between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The agreement was signed by RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan and Director of the World Bank's Armenian Office Carolin Geginat. Budget support funds will be directed to financing the deficit defined by the RA Law "On the 2023 State Budget of the Republic of Armenia".
The project plans to implement the following processes:
- Promoting climate change mitigation and adaptation and improving the regulatory framework for environmental management
- Strengthening equality and promoting human capital development
- Increasing the effectiveness of the anti-corruption framework and the justice sector.
