The possibilities of Armenian-Argentine cooperation in the field of defense were discussed

To participate in the 3rd World Forum of Human Rights, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gevorgyan, who is in Buenos Aires, met on March 21 with Argentina's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Religion, Ambassador Pablo Anselmo Tettamanti.

The interlocutors referred to the friendly relations between Armenia and Argentina, expressing readiness to continue joint efforts toward their development. The parties also expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation in multilateral platforms.

Regarding the security situation in the South Caucasus, Vahe Gevorgyan presented the humanitarian crisis created in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the siege of Lachin. In this context, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the need for unconditional implementation of Azerbaijan's relevant judgment of the International Court of Justice. Several issues related to regional and international security were discussed.

On March 22, Vahe Gevorgyan met with Argentine Defense Minister Jorge Taiana. The interlocutors referred to the possibilities and perspectives of defense cooperation.

The visit concluded with a visit to Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church in Buenos Aires and a meeting with the leadership of the community structures.
