The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Karen Andreasyan.
Welcoming the guest, the president emphasized that he is closely following the ongoing reforms in the judicial system, the importance of which is difficult to overestimate.
Vahagn Khachaturyan noted in his speech, "I think the success of the reforms implemented in our country will depend on what those reforms will be like in the judicial system. The highest expectations are from that system, and I hope that under your leadership, the Supreme Judicial Council will succeed and we, as citizens, will be sure that one of the branches of the government, the judiciary, will implement justice in the Republic of Armenia."
Thanking Karen Andreasyan for the reception, he said:
"Mr. President, first of all, thank you very much for this opportunity for the meeting. I also wanted to say that the first half of my term of office is ending, and during our meeting today, I will present you with some details about what we managed to do in this first half."
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Central Committee referred to the ongoing reforms in the judicial system. He presented several details to the President of the Republic about the latter, the complex programs implemented by the Central Committee, and the steps being taken.
