The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the IMF-Armenia partnership

Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the head of the Armenian mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Iva Petrova, and her delegation.

Expressing his satisfaction with the IMF-Armenia partnership, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the IMF's support to the government's reform agenda. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that RA recorded high indicators of economic growth and state budget revenue growth last year. The Prime Minister of Armenia noted that the government is determined to continue the reforms in different directions and emphasizes consistent work with international partner structures on this path.

The head of the IMF mission in Armenia thanked us for the high evaluation. It noted that the IMF would continue to support the economic progress of our country and the reforms initiated by the government. According to him, Armenia's economic indicators are significant, and the IMF is interested in developing practical cooperation. The interlocutors referred to the partnership agenda and discussed issues related to the IMF-Armenia joint action plan.

The Prime Minister presented the reforms and recorded results in the diversification of the economy, ensuring financial and economic stability, improving the investment environment, infrastructure development, legislative regulations, anti-corruption fight, tax sector, and other directions. Thoughts were exchanged on current economic trends and expectations for 2023.
