Edmon Marukyan, Ambassador with Special Assignments of the RA, responded to the statement of Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, regarding protecting the security and rights of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh.
In this regard, Marukyan wrote in his "Twitter" microblog, "Hajiev stated that there would be no international mechanisms for the security and rights of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians. He claims that this is an internal matter of Azerbaijan. I must remind you again that after the Second World War, fundamental human rights and freedoms and the security of thousands of people are not considered internal issues."
