The Prime Minister of Iceland accepted the minister's invitation and will arrive in Yerevan in October
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan, who is in New York on a working visit, met with the Prime Minister of Iceland, Katrin Jakobsdóttir.
The minister thanked the Prime Minister for the support and cooperation shown by various Icelandic companies during the 44-day Artsakh war and for the visit of the Icelandic parliamentary delegation to Artsakh.
The parties also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in labor and social protection exchange of mutual experience.
Speaking about the need to protect women's rights and increase their role, Minister Mkrtchyan also presented to Prime Minister Katrin Yakobsdottir the details of the joint initiative of RA Prime Minister's wife Anna Hakobyan and the organization "Women Political Leaders" entitled "The Role of Women in Promoting Democracy, Peace and Security" regarding. Katrin Jacobsdottir welcomed the initiative and accepted the invitation from RA to participate in the conference scheduled for October.
