Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador of Kuwait to Armenia

Today, the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Armenia, Nawaf Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Enez. Welcoming the guest, President Khachaturyan, sent his warm congratulations to the ambassador and the friendly people of Kuwait on the occasion of Independence and Liberation. "I am happy to receive and congratulate you ahead of your national holidays, as well as convey my congratulations to the friendly people of Kuwait on your behalf. At the same time, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.

I want to emphasize once again that we are friendly people and have unique relations, which is also due to the presence of the Armenian community in your country, towards which we have a particular attitude. We are ready to continue and strengthen our friendship and create new opportunities."

Thanking the ambassador for the reception and congratulatory words and good wishes, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Emir of the State of Kuwait to President Khachaturian.

"I would also like to address the Armenian community in Kuwait and note that Armenians are hardworking, respectable, and trustworthy. The Armenian community has a high reputation and is one of the few communities with few problems in Kuwait. We are ready to make efforts to develop relations between our countries in various fields," said the Kuwaiti ambassador to Armenia.

During the meeting, President Khachaturyan also referred to Azerbaijan's attempts to give a religious tone to the Nagorno Karabakh issue on various international platforms and noted that the NK issue is devoid of elements of inter-religious intolerance and fits into the logic of the fundamental human right to live and create freely in one's land. The president also reminded us that Armenians had lived side by side with Arab brothers and other Muslim peoples for centuries.

Both sides emphasized the need to establish lasting and comprehensive peace in the region through peace negotiations.

During the meeting, the interlocutors referred to the issues related to the investments between the two countries and the promotion of cooperation in various sectors of the economy. Further deepening cooperation in culture, tourism, and high technologies was highlighted.
