Rubinyan exchanged ideas with the Council of Ministers regarding the process of regulating Armenian-Turkish relations
On February 21, the Vice President of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, received the deputies of the European Parliament, Sylvie Guillaume, and Francois Alphonse.
Welcoming the guests, Ruben Rubinyan presented the situation in the region at the request of the CE deputies. The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly spoke about the humanitarian challenges the 120,000 Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh faced due to Azerbaijan's illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor.
At the meeting, reference was made to the Azerbaijani armed forces' invasion of the sovereign territory of Armenia and the problems related to the Armenian prisoners of war.
Thoughts were exchanged on the process of normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations.
Ruben Rubinyan highlighted the efforts made by the international community to establish security and stability in the region.
