If desired, it is possible to open the Armenian-Turkish border; Sargis Khandanyan

During the parliamentary briefings, Sargis Khandanyan, chairman of the NA Foreign Relations Committee, referred to sending humanitarian aid to Turkey after the earthquake and the prospects for the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations.

He noted that Armenia should always respond to disasters, "I think Armenia, as a normal participant of the international community, should always respond to such disasters, especially disasters of this scale, and offer help."

As for Armenia-Turkey relations, according to Khandanyan, humanitarian aid can be a positive impulse in normalizing relations, "Yes, we see that it is possible to open the border if desired. Let's hope the Turkish government will be more inclined towards this process, and we will see faster results."
