Russia's aggression and unilateralism have undermined the invested efforts and serious prospects for effective work in the format of the Minsk Group co-chairmanship; Vedant Patel

The United States remains committed to peace-supporting engagement in any direction, whether through bilateral formats, EU mechanisms, or the OSCE.

Supporting peace in the South Caucasus remains a constant priority for us.

Vedant Patel, the deputy spokesperson of the US State Department, said this during the briefing.

"As for Russia's reactions [to Western initiatives], the fact is that Russia's aggression and unilateralism have undermined the invested efforts and serious prospects for effective work in the format of the Minsk Group co-chairmanship."

According to him, supporting peace in the South Caucasus remains an unchanged priority not only for the US administration but also for Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, as evidenced by his direct contacts with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan on these issues.
