Makuntz met with Paul Salem, president of the Middle East Institute

On February 2, Ambassador Makunts met with the president of the Middle East Institute, Paul Salem. The senior vice-president of the Institute, Kate Sealy; head of the Frontier Europe program Iulia-Sabina Joja; senior researcher on Eurasia, Mamuka Tsereteli and assistant to the president Thomas Halvorsen also took part in the meeting.

The ambassador presented to the meeting participants the agenda for democratic reforms of Armenia and peace in the region, the security situation in Armenia, and the South Caucasus region, emphasizing the ongoing crisis in the Lachin Corridor. The meeting continued in the format of questions and answers.
