India has a major role to play in shaping the agenda for responding to global challenges.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, on that country's day. The message states:
"Your Excellency,
I warmly congratulate you on the occasion of the Republic Day of India.
India, a thousand-year-old civilization with democratic values, currently has a significant role in shaping the agenda for responding to global challenges. In this sense, India's successful presidency of the UN Security Council is an outstanding example, which gives us hope that India's presidency of the G20 will also contribute to regional and global peace and stability.
It should be noted with joy that Armenian-Indian friendly relations are expanding and deepening. New frameworks and directions contributing to the development of cooperation are outlined, which raise our partnership to a genuinely new qualitative level.
Taking this opportunity, I wish you good health, success, peace, and prosperity to the friendly people of India."
