The reaction of Marek Benda, the head of the Czech Republic-Armenia friendship group and the leader of the ruling faction of the Czech Parliament, regarding the situation created by the closure of the Lachin Corridor.

Thanks to Ashot Hovakimyan, RA Ambassador to the Czech Republic, for adequately presenting the situation to our Czech colleagues.

As the leader of the Armenia-Czech Republic cooperation group, I regularly let my Czech colleagues know about the situation, expecting precise assessments, calls, and steps regarding the case.

I've included the announcement below.

"I am deeply concerned about the ongoing blockade of the Lachin Corridor. The systematic violations and provocations of the ceasefire regime, depriving 120,000 people of their primary source of livelihood, risk severe humanitarian consequences.

Azerbaijan should reopen the corridor and ensure freedom of movement and security without any preconditions. The way forward is the continuation of negotiations on the political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, the restoration of Armenia's territorial integrity after the September Azerbaijani aggression, and the establishment of stable peace and stability in the region," he wrote.
