Citizens of Armenia and Georgia will be able to cross the border with identification cards

The RA government approved the proposal to sign an agreement "between Armenia and Georgia on mutual visa-free travel for citizens of the two states."

Accordingly, citizens of both Armenia and Georgia can use only an identification card when crossing the border, and it will not be necessary to present a passport.

RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also mentioned that building unique relations with neighboring Georgia is one of the political priorities. "Practically, even at the highest level, there are regular contacts and intensive connections between the relevant departments. Georgia is one of our citizens' favorite places for business and leisure visits."
