"Azerbaijan is obliged to restore the regime of Lachin Corridor established in November," Mirzoyan to Donfried
On January 10, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan spoke with US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried.
Ararat Mirzoyan presented to his interlocutor the daily worsening humanitarian situation due to the blocking the Lachin Corridor, the only road connecting Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia and the outside world by Azerbaijan from December 12, 2022. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan grossly violates the 2020 November 9 tripartite statement.
The Armenian side noted that the alleged environmental justifications and accusations of the Azerbaijani side for blocking the Lachin Corridor are false. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Azerbaijan is obliged to restore the regime of the Lachin Corridor established by the November tripartite declaration without any preconditions.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia also presented the latest developments in the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations to the interlocutor.
