"Come to work," Alen Simonyan to the opposition

Radar Armenia summarized the past year, 2022, with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan.

- In terms of politics, if you summarize, what kind of year was 2022?

- Last year was a year of shuffling and rearranging the playing cards of the world and different countries. It can be said that those who are not interested in politics were even inadvertently involved in the changes taking place in the world; our country was not exempt from all of that, and, in honor of our people, I must say that our people clearly showed that they are tired of those who make old political speeches, making it clear that Armenian democracy has a place in their thinking and actions.

- How do you evaluate the efficiency of the work of the parliament?

- Regardless of the opposition's childish emotional "I don't play" and incomprehensible self-flagellations, the year was not bad for the parliament; we worked effectively and actively, and no project, planned, or urgent matter was affected.

- In 2022, there were few critics and complaints against you. How do you deal with criticism, and what can 2023 expect from people with grievances?

- Let me say more; they will criticize, talk and discuss in 2023. Being the center of attention and being targeted is the daily horoscope of politicians. I've been used to it for a long time, thank you for the healthy criticisms; the rest is not essential.

- In 2022, the parliamentary opposition participated in several sessions, announcing a boycott. As the Speaker of the Parliament, what would you say to your opponents?

- Come to work.
