Radar Armenia in 2022 summed up with Gegham Nazaryan, deputy of the NA "Armenia" faction.
- What kind of year were 2022 for the "Armenia" alliance and you?
- I don't want to separate the "Armenia" bloc, me, Armenia. In general, it was a sad year, full of concerns and problems, which increased the difficulties and did not provide solutions; we could not solve any small or big issues. And I consider one lost year for our nation and state.
- What are your expectations from 2023, and what are the planned priorities?
- In 2023, we should do what we had to do in the first post-war months. Let's try to sober up, assess the situation correctly, and change the problem created for our state and people with non-stop work. Let's change this desperate, sometimes cynical situation. And let's do everything to turn "I-" into "we." We must understand that Armenia is our typical home. I have constantly repeated and will repeat. Everything has its laws, and we continuously avoid them. The first post-war law is that a person who has lost a war cannot rule the country. Also, we should make our neighbors understand that we are not willing to leave either Syunik or Artsakh. This is our country, our home. And finally, let them know that the dream that Armenia and Artsakh should see without Armenians will not happen. And our people should know that Armenia is the best place in the world. We need to get out of this lukewarm state.
- How do you see the government-opposition dialogue in the parliament in 2023?
- This is a question with underwater reefs. Now, if I say that I see an opportunity for dialogue, they will say that you want to cooperate with the administration. Suppose one of the administration's representative stations answers that question and says I see an opportunity for dialogue with the opposition. In that case, they will say that you want to dialogue with those vile oppositionists. We could have a better atmosphere. I see the conversation like this: I will work non-stop with the representatives of the current administration to convince them that they cannot lead the country. We have to move forward. We need to put an end to "past" and "present" because it is a false and dangerous understanding. There is no past and present. I am more present than many government representatives, some of whom have been in the ranks of the government since 1991. So, we must end the black-white, present-former, and elite-poor concepts and move forward. We have so many external challenges that we will vanish if we focus on eating each other.
