The third president of RA, Serzh Sargsyan, participates in the protest action of oppositionists near the government building.
In a briefing with journalists, S. Sargsyan referred to the situation created around Artsakh, noting that Azerbaijanis are not interested in mines, they just want to subjugate Artsakh and the people of Artsakh, but he is sure that they will not succeed, “They will resist this time, just what price we will pay is a question mark. Everything depends on the leadership of Artsakh, how they will be able to organize the way to overcome the difficulties of these people. It is obvious that there can be no hope for the rulers of Armenia."
Asked whether the ongoing actions will lead to war, he said, “I find it difficult to say whether there will be such or not, because we are witness to such a situation when decisions are made based on the problems of the day. I don't see any desire to look at least a few steps ahead.''
In response to the question about the responsibility of Russian peacekeepers and the criticism of the authorities on this issue, S. Sargsyan said, Can today's rulers show us what are the duties and obligations of peacekeepers?" Have you seen anywhere what is written about it? What is written in the statement of November 9, they carry out themselves, and there is no need to blame their own problems on others. 3-4 years ago, the guilty were the former, now it is difficult to blame the former, do they blame the peacekeepers or the Russians? Yes, we all had more expectations from Russia, but any expectations can always be ruined from the side, as they were."
Referring to the methods of solving the problem, Serzh Sargsyan pointed out, “To face, to fight."
