"We also remember Hungary's efforts to free 5 Armenian prisoners of war." Minister of Foreign Affairs (VIDEO)

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan referred to his meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijártó, during which the issue of restoring frozen Armenian-Hungarian relations was discussed.

Mirzoyan noted that the Hungarian authorities had extradited Ramil Safarov, who killed the Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan, which they should not have done, "Our perceptions are the same. But, at the same time, remembering those events, we also remember the efforts made by Hungary in December of last year toward releasing 5 Armenian prisoners of war. The representatives of the Hungarian authorities personally arrived in Baku and brought the five prisoners to be released to Yerevan." Mirzoyan also notified that Hungary helped RA in providing vaccines against the coronavirus, which resulted in lives being saved. "There are many other examples," said Mirzoyan.

According to the Foreign Minister, we will also hear about the appointment of ambassadors to Armenia and Hungary in the near future.
